PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
Any rebuilding or restoration project is a great opportunity to
improve upon what went before, and Newmills is certainly impressive
following it's reopening. Planners were keen to blend a traditional
exterior with a very modern interior, contracting McNickle & Sons
for the interior woodwork and carpentry.
A movable pulpit forms a beautifully crafted centre piece
while rows of soft-seating extend back through the room, seating the substantial
congregation. Designing an interior is about much more than fitting it out with
utilitarian efficiency. It is essential to capture the essence and mood of an
interior, reflecting the overall look and atmosphere of the space within it's
design. McNickle & Sons
are widely acknowledged as industry leaders, and we feel that we've captured
the spirit of this church, visible in the lovingly crafted woodwork that adorns
much of the interior.
